Anomatic is an expert in the deep draw technology used to manufacture high precision Metered-Dose Inhaler (MDI) canisters. With precise dimensional control, we boast an annual capacity of more than 2.5 billion parts.
Anomatic's patented anodization process ensures consistency of anodic film covering on the surface of the aluminum canisters. The film acts as an effective barrier for many sensitive formulas, making anodized canisters a suitable solution for MDI formulations.
Anodization significantly improves impurity levels for MDI solution formulations. Leachable and extractable studies are available.
Anomatic coating system achieves a hydrophobic surface with a contact angle greater than 100 degrees which helps prevent adhesion of the formula to the canister wall. FCP plasma coated canisters are suitable for MDI suspension formulations.
Plasma coating does not change the dimensions of the canister and replicates the canister profile in an even coating. The hydrophobic low surface energy system prevents formula adhesion to the canister wall.
